Meet Your Guides
Ann Boyd (Camp Director) currently choreographs, teaches and directs with Beat Children's Theatre, and teaches yoga and workshops at Namaspa in Bend, OR. She is a dedicated maker crafting everything from felted bags of their sheep’s wool to monster doodles and dream journals. Before moving with her partner and their two daughters to Dragonfly Farm in Tumalo, Oregon in 2015, Ann worked in professional dance and theatre in Chicago for 25 years. She taught throughout the city and was full time faculty at Columbia College Chicago. Ann is a passionate lifelong learner. Recent trainings include; Kid’s Yoga Teacher Training with Deven Sisler and Abbie Rexroad, deep wilderness connection instructor training with Twin Eagles Wilderness School, the Mysterial Woman Leadership program (as a student then mentor) and facilitator training with Open Studio Project.
Alicia Taylor (weeks 1 and 2) is a homeschooling mother of five from central Washington. Alicia has taught kids yoga, kids gymnastics, and ran a gymnastic facility office for 14 years. She has practiced yoga for 26 years and studied widely. She completed a two year parenting and group coach certification with Purejoy Parenting in 2023. Her family has been immersed in various programs with Twin Eagles Wilderness School since 2014. She has a great love and understanding of the natural world. Alicia and her family enjoy road trips, camping, back packing, hiking, and all skateboard together. Her greatest passions are in mentoring and growing the wisdom seed that lies within every child, supporting them to see the world with their childlike wonder, and keep their curiosity alive!
Viola Boyd Brocker is a Junior at Knox College in Galesburg, IL where she is a studio arts major, a TA for photography, spirit captain of the Ultimate Frisbee Team and dances with the student lead Terpsichore. Viola also works for the college organic farm and the theatre scene shop. Since her early teens Viola has attended Twin Eagles Wilderness School where she was immersed in their philosophy of deep nature connection. She went on to become a mentor in training and for the past two summers has been an assistant instructor for Twin Eagles day and overnight camps. Viola created hundreds of costumes for four productions at Redmond Proficiency Academy and was costume intern for director Jessica Thebus’ production of “Birthday Candles” at Northlight Theatre in Chicago.
Janell Taylor-Mohs (weeks 1 and 2) is a junior at Vanguard Academy in Moses Lake, WA. She is in Fiber Arts at her high school, and enjoys working, and leading the backstage crew for the high school plays. For the past eleven years, Janell has attended various programs with Twin Eagles Wilderness School. In 2024, she began their Mentor In Training program. Since then, she has mentored summer camps, and their monthly program. She has worked with kids ages 6-14 (which she enjoys very much), and led group activities. Janell is a self-taught artist and maker. She has taught herself to draw, paint, crochet, play guitar and piano, and so much more! In her spare time she loves learning new things, reading, crafting, teaching, skateboarding, drawing, spending time in nature, and listening to music.
